August 17, 1964 – July 5th, 2025
Kenneth Joseph Valverde, lovingly known as Kenny, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born on August 17, 1964, in Phoenix, Arizona, Kenny was the cherished son of Joseph and Mary Valverde and the devoted brother of Daniel Valverde, Terri South, and Joseph Valverde.
A proud graduate of Camelback High School, Kenny dedicated over three decades—33 years—to the Town of Fountain Hills as a GIS Technician and CAD Operator. His unwavering work ethic, quiet humility, and commitment to service left a lasting impact on the community he served so faithfully. When Kenny was away from work he spent his time with his daughters as a single father, running them to dance classes or school events. He also loved spending time playing softball with his treasured softball team “The Boneheads”.
Kenny married the love of his life, Catherine Valverde, on October 16, 2004. Together they shared a life built on love, laughter, and deep devotion to family. Kenny's passion for life was evident in everything he did—from weekend golf with his brothers and friends, to his love for music, his famous treasure hunts through thrift stores, and his deep affection for his family. He was a family-oriented man, a quiet presence with a big heart, always willing to lend a hand or share a smile. In his later years, his bond with Presley, his loyal dog, brought him great comfort and joy.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Tiffany Cutcliff (Brian), Holly Blake (Ben), Morgan Valverde, Gabriel Ruiz (Megan), Christopher Ruiz, and Nicholas Gonzales; and by his grandchildren: Lily Cutcliff, Ellis Blake, Avery Cutcliff, Henlea Ruiz, Landen Ruiz, and Selah Blake. Each of them carries a piece of Kenny’s legacy in their hearts.
Kenny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty leave behind a legacy of love that will continue to echo in the hearts of his family and friends.
