Ken was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa on October 28, 1929 to Albert and Gertrude Weed. He was their youngest child and grew up on the family farm in Magnolia Iowa.
Ken joined the Air Force in November, 1950. He married Delores Skelton fresh out of Air Force training. They started their family of four in Rantoul, Illinois. After his discharge he started his barbering business in Omaha, Nebraska. Always an entrepreneur he worked very hard and did well with his businesses. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or a hand up, helping some to get started in their own careers.
He and Delores traveled the world and had many good friends and fun times. He was very active, even later in life and loved playing tennis, golfing, and running nearly every day.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Weed, his parents, Albert and Gertrude Weed, and all of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Craig Weed, Doug Weed (Charlene), Cheryl Noe (Richard), and Debby Weed, ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
