He is survived by his wife, Constance and children Margaret (Dee), Kenneth Kania (Sheri), Ron Hobbs (Joan) Muriel Kropp (Dick) Robert Kania (Laurie), Sue Cutbirth (Dan), Aneta Jansen (Charles), Ginger Wagner (Rick) and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter Linda Dawson and Gary Hobbs.
Lawrence honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he moved to Port Huron and worked at Prestolite for more than 30 years, retiring in 1976. He was a master craftsman who could build or repair almost anything. In addition to restoring dozens of antique cars and trucks, he built the VFW Hall in Black Canyon City, AZ, proudly serving as an active member of that organization.
