

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Leo Hand, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Leo was 82 years old and a third-generation Arizona native, born in Phoenix.
Leo's passion for mechanics began at a young age, working alongside his father at Ender's Repair Shop. This led to a fulfilling career as a Diesel Mechanic and Service Manager at companies like Peterbilt, Cummins, Interstate, and Caterpillar, where his exceptional talent for diagnosing and repairing engines was widely recognized.
At 14, Leo met the love of his life, Diane, and they married four years later. Their enduring love story spanned 64 years. Leo found joy in building and enjoying high-performance vehicles, creating cherished memories with loved ones.
Leo passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2025, at 7:55 AM, holding Diane's hand and surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Hand and Mary Crane.
Leo is survived by his wife, Diane; his daughters, Terrie Wimberly (spouse Michael) and Cindy Randolph (spouse Craig); his granddaughter, Jessica Ballentyne (spouse Tim); his great-grandchildren, Alexis Ballentyne (fiancé Bryan Peterson), Clifford Pringle IV (Sunny), Madalyn, Noah, and Hunter Ballentyne; and his great-great-grandchildren, Bridgette Ballentyne and Emmett Peterson. Sister Janice McGinnis and family; Cousin Al and his family.
Honoring Leo's wishes, the family has chosen cremation and will not hold a formal service. A celebration of life event will take place at a later time. The family will share details when arrangements are made.
Leo will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
