

As a young adult Leon joined the United States Air Force (USAF). Some years later his life was forever changed when he met Phyllis. They were joined in holy matrimony and enjoyed over 50 years together.
To their union Felicia Leona Parker was born. The youngest of four children, Felicia has three older siblings, Sheila (Anthony) Marchbanks, James (Deborah) Bennett, and Cheryce Bennett-Tay.
A devoted husband and father whom provided life changing opportunities and unconditional love. He has left a legacy of a family knit together by love and acceptance.
Leon loved his wife fervently. He was dedicated to Phyllis and their four children. Steadfast and immovable, his commitment to his family never wavered.
Over the course of his life, Leon had traveled and lived in many states and countries. Honorably retiring as a TSgt. from the USAF, Leon continued his career in communications as a civilian. He had a successful career spanning over 40 years.
A man of faith, Leon became a Believer in the LORD Jesus Christ and joined Azusa Church where he served in the youth ministry. Later he served at Beth Simchat HaMashiach in leadership roles, such as an active Board Member for his Messianic congregation. There he also participated in the "Fishers of Men" ministry.
Engaged in the life of his community, Leon volunteered at the Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeological Park in Phoenix.
An ardent Pittsburgh sports fan, especially for the Steelers, he enjoyed watching his favorite teams with enthusiasm.
His smile, his laughter, and his kindness will be missed. He is survived by a large extended family and he is the last sibling in his family to transition. Preceding him are his parents and three brothers, Napoleon, Leonard, and Larry.
