Rosemary and family, I was sorry to here that Leroy had passed away. I had the great pleasure of working with Leroy for many years at SCJ and he was very kind, hard working and helpful and a man with a gentle soul. I will always remember his loud shirts and great laugh and smile. God bless you all during this difficult time.

Robert and I thought a lot of our nephew, Leroy.  I first became acquainted with the Johnstons when I lived with my folks, Ray and Mae Anderson, west of Slapout, OK.  Sometimes I would catch the school bus at Joe Johnston's grocery store at Slapout.  I married into the Irwin family and watched Leroy grow up.  When Robert and I were first married Leroy would stay with us sometimes. Leroy was a very good person and was always quick to laugh.  When he laughed his face would light up.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

We met Leroy and Rosemary about 6 years ago when we moved into their neighborhood. They were the first to offer help and welcome us to the area. Leroy was one of the happiest and kindest people we ever met. It has been our privlege to know Leroy..We'll miss you friend..

My brother Donald and I were saddened to hear of Leroy's passing.  We remember with fondness all those summers spent in Oklahoma

When I was a kid I used to love to visit Uncle Cotton and Aunt Anna and play with my fellow cousins - Leroy, Gary, Jerry and Larry. We all grew up in the Southwest and had so much fun romping around.  Sadly, we lost Larry when he was very young, and Gary followed as a young adult.  I'm saddened that I have lost yet another one of my cousins.  I will always fondly remember Leroy with a head full of red hair, a face brightened by a big smile, and a heart that was always open and loving.  My deepest sympathies to Rosemary and family.

Terry and I were sorry to hear about Leroy's passing.  We just wanted you to know we were thinking of your family.  Terry remembers all the good times with Leroy and his parents and brothers.

We will miss our best friend who loved life and never took it too seriously.

We will miss our wonderful friend who was more like family, he was always there to lend a hand no matter what it might be, loved life and never took it too seriously.  We miss you friend.

We were shocked to learn of Leroy's passing. Our condolences and prayers go out to all our Johnston cousins.

So sorry about Leroy, I know he and the family has suffered so much, but he is now at rest.  I remember Leroy as a young boy who I had a tremendous crush on.  We used to play at Grandma Johnston's farm where he had his own playhouse in Slapout.   May he Rest in Peace.
