Leslie was born on October 27, 1944 in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Union High School in Roosevelt, Utah. She had two daughters and a son, who would become the most important part of her life. She was an incredible mother and homemaker. After her children were grown, she decided to go back to school and started a successful career with Cox Communications where she retired from after 20 years.
She was a devoted grandmother and her heart warmed everyone who knew her. She enjoyed traveling and loved the beach. Her favorite outings were attending her grandchildren’s activities: football, church, softball, cheer, basketball, volleyball, just to name a few. She enjoyed and was very talented at cross-stitching and drawing. Another one of her favorite things to do was going to the movies with her sister Judith. They saw every movie that came out in theatres, and loved to go out afterwards for a little shopping and their all-time favorite meal – Mexican food. She was the problem solver of her family and constantly played referee with her grandkids. Not one day will go by that she is not deeply missed.
Leslie is survived by her children Carrie, Cavin and Celeste; son in-law, Kelly; grandchildren Taylor, Dillon, Chase, Dalton, Chad, Mackenize and Madison; her great-grandchildren Andrew, Wyatt, Lukas; her sister Judith, her brothers David and Steve. She is preceded in death by her mother Bobbie, sister Barbara, brother Neil, and her granddaughters Faith and Cheyanne.
A memorial service is scheduled for October 16, 2021 at 3:30pm, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 19201 N. 7th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ. 85027. We will have a Celebration of Life following at The Boozy, 5450 E. High Street, Phoenix, AZ 85054.
