

Linda Leah Collins, 67, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on June 9, 2015 while surrounded by her family. Linda was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 16, 1947 to Robert and Laura Young. Linda spent most of her childhood in California and attended Whittier High School. She moved to Arizona in 1964 and began working at Motorola as an assembler where she worked her way up to Management. She also worked as a Payroll Manager and Quality Control Manager at Intel and traveled around the country training associates on quality control processes. Before retiring she also worked at Desert Schools Credit Union.
Linda was described by her friends as a loving and caring person that was always willing to help in times of need. She was a faithful believer in the power of prayer and prayed for her family every day by evidence of the prayer journal. She loved the Lord with all her being and was a leader at Monte Vista Baptist Church. She was a volunteer for the Teen Pregnancy Hotline and spent countless and sleepless hours talking and helping young women in crisis. She was also a very strong supporter for military veterans. She looked forward to and enjoyed meeting regularly for lunch with her girlfriends from work.
Her interests included family and friends, basketball, softball, and bowling and earned many awards and trophies. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to locations abroad and across the United States where they visited historical locations. Linda enjoyed reading and learning about our Nation's great history.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, John Collins; her sister, Rita (Richard) Elizarraras; Sons, Ricky, Tom (Stacey), Mike (Terry), John (Juanita), Tommy (Lori), Jim; daughters, Barbara (Mark), Pam (Fred), Lori; twenty adoring grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her darling son Christopher; Parents, Robert and Laura Young; and Sister, Roberta Elk.
