

Linda was born in Nyssa, OR and lived there until she was 11 years old, when the family moved to Milton-Freewater, Oregon. Linda attended most of high school in Milton-Freewater and made many lifelong friends there. In her senior year the family moved to Walla Walla, WA. where Linda graduated from high school. After graduating Linda spent a year in Germany with her father, who was serving in the Army.
Upon her return to the states, she attended Kinman Business School in Spokane, WA. Shortly after graduating she went to work in Walla Walla for Sherwood & Roberts, which began her lifelong career in the mortgage business. Linda married Walter A. Schwab in 1966 and moved to Seattle, WA., where they welcomed their only daughter Elizabeth Ann. Ann was very involved in dance and Linda was very active as a dance mom, and very active in her school’s PTA. Linda relocated to Phoenix, Arizona for work in 1986 to leave the rain of Seattle and start a new chapter in her life. Linda ended her career in 2000 as a Mortgage Underwriter for a top 5 bank.
Linda loved to travel and saw a good portion of the world. She loved plants and spent a lot of time puttering in her yard, and she loved rummaging through thrift shops as well. But above all she was an animal lover and loved her dogs more than anything. She loved taking them to dog parks and on long walks every day.
Linda was a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church. Linda spent her summers in Prescott AZ and loved her time there.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John Benjamin Beckham and Ethel Mary Rhodes, and her brother Johnny Beckham. She was also preceded in death by her ex-husband Walter Allen Schwab and her longtime companion of many years, Nathan "Pete" Stith.
Linda is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Ann McNamara and her sister Susan Jane Christiansen (husband Dan) and her nieces Tracy Michelle Terraneau (husband Josh) and Jodi Grimmett (husband Karl). And her great nieces and nephews.
Linda will be remembered in a private family Celebration of Life in Seattle, Washington at a later time to be determined.
