She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Jesus, Manuel, Cruz, Pete, Luis and Mary Lopez and Rose Cooks.
Lupe was a life-long resident of Phoenix where she lived since she came to Arizona in 1925 at the age of 3. At a very young age and throughout her life, she devoted her life to helping support her large family. She was a virtuous woman and a loving and selfless daughter, sister, Godmother and aunt. She was beautiful inside and out, naturally intelligent, hard working and had a smile that could light up a room among many other wonderful characteristics.

Lupe loved cooking and was a naturally exceptional, gifted and self-taught cook who worked in the food service industry and delighted family, friends and patrons alike. Her culinary career spanned many decades and she worked at several dining establishments including the former China Doll restaurant, Phoenix College cafeteria and the downtown Phoenix YMCA cafeteria where she retired as the head cook.
In addition to her love for cooking, Lupe (with her sister Mary) was an exceptional hostess and loved having holiday and special celebrations for birthdays and other special occasions that family and friends always looked forward to. She prepared the most delicious feasts and always created an atmosphere that everyone wanted to be a part of.
Those who knew and loved Lupe will always remember her beautiful spirit and the love she expressed through the many selfless deeds she did, the wonderful memories she created and the delectable dishes and delicious desserts she made that kept people wanting to go back for more. She will forever be in the hearts of those who survive and love her dearly including her brother Carlos Lopez, her Godchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
