Manuel went to be with his beloved daughter Rebecca, on August 17, 2012 in Mesa, AZ. He was born in Nogales, Sonora on April 10, 1934. Manuel worked for the City of Phoenix for 35 years before retiring to spend time gardening and traveling. Manuel is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carmen, Loretta; daughter and son Alejandro; brothers, Hector, George, Rene, Sergio and sisters, Virginia and Concepcion and grandchildren Alex, Rebecca, Crystal, Jazmine, Jenn, Tony, Teresa, Kollin and great granddaughter Lily. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd at 8:00 a.m., with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, 909 South 1st Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85003 (1st Avenue and Buckeye Road). Family and friends are encouraged to make a donation in Manuel’s name to East Valley Hospice in Chandler in lieu of flowers.
