Marcy Sedillo Gonzalez

Born in McNary, Az and raised in La Plaza Vieja (Old Town) Flagstaff, Az, Marcy was welcomed by God and her entire family in heaven on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Throughout her life, Marcy was surrounded by her family and life-long friends. She was a nurturing and caring daughter, mother and nana, also known for her beauty, elegance and good humor. Marcy had a great sense of adventure, a love of music and dancing, and especially, family gatherings. She looked forward to weekend drives to Oak Creek, often meeting friends at the casino. Always a diligent, hard worker, Marcy worked many years in grocery as a cashier at Food Town and Safeway, and later retired from the Teamsters Union in 1998.

Marcy fought an extensive battle with her health. Just like she dealt with all experiences in life, she managed her illness with strength and grace, cherishing her time with family, who brought her incredible joy and pride.

Marcy is preceded in death by her parents Felipe and Adelina Sedillo, sister Queena, and brothers Sammy, Jimmy and Gabby Sedillo. She is survived by Richard, her husband of 41 years; her daughters Monica and Vangie; her granddaughter, Victoria; and 4 grandsons, Andres, Giovanni, Antonio and Diego.

Marcy will be eternally remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother, and nana; and as a loyal friend, with an infectious smile and laugh.

Please join our family as we celebrate her life. Services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021,10 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick St., Flagstaff, AZ.
