Mariko Sugawara Bragg died on 2/5/2015 due to complications from lung cancer, following a recent hospitalization. She died peacefully at home in her sleep, with husband and in-laws and dogs by her side. She was 62 years old. She is survived by her mother, two sisters, four nieces, two nephews, three dogs, and husband. She had been a Japanese language teacher at Mesa Community College, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Arizona State University, and Arizona Gakuen School. She is dearly missed.
