Marjorie A. Hemphill, “Marjie” was born April 7, 1924 in Akron, Ohio. She entered into Eternal Peace on August 17, 2012 at home. She was a preschool teacher and taught at “Tots around the clock” and “American Evangelical Lutheran Church – preschool” from which she retired in 1998. She was a Sweet Adelines member. She is the grandmother to six grandchildren: Amber, Meghanne, Katelyn, Wes, Jr., Jedidiah, and Luke. She is the great-grandmother to Aubrielle. She is survived by sons: John and Wesley, Sr., as well as niece: Michele and nephews: Michael, Matthew and Mark. She will be deeply missed and remembered for the love and commitment to friends, church and family. Services will be held at American Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1830 W. Glenrosa Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85015 at 1:00 pm, with the viewing being held at noon.
