Mary, known as Linda to her family and close friends was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. As a child, in 1965, she moved to Arizona with her family where she would attend school and build a life.
During her 67 years of life, she fought hard to overcome many obstacles, and being the fighter that she was, she faced every day with a winners attitude. Those that were blessed to have known her were amazed by her ability to love so hard, care so deeply and give so freely.
We will miss her kind spirit and bold personality. Her honesty was truly a breath of fresh air and being in her presence you were sure to find yourself unable to control your laughter from something she said or did.
Known to be a firecracker, it was only proper that she waited until the last hour on the Fourth of July when the final fireworks show had ended, before she made her Grand Exodus into the waiting arms of our Heavenly Father.
Mary Linda Banks, you will always be loved and will never be forgotten.
Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Lorine Jackson and step father, Earl Jackson. Her father, Jimmy Langford and her two sisters, Christine Washington & Ida Mae Haskins (Curtis).
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Lonnie Langford (Sandra) of Houston, TX; her brother Melvin Jackson of Phoenix, AZ; her step sister, Joyce Jackson of Los Angeles, CA; her niece, Denise Collins (John) of Phoenix, AZ; her nephew, Billy Washington (Patricia) of Dallas, TX; and nephew, Charles Washington of Phoenix, AZ. She also leaves behind a host of beloved relatives and friends.
