Mary was born in Phoenix, Arizona on December 1, 1956, to Roy and Shirley Hines. Mary grew up in Glendale, Arizona. When Mary was a young girl, she asked Jesus to come into her heart and mind at the Glendale Church of the Nazarene. She loved GOD all her life. When Mary was twelve years old, she came down with type two diabetes. Thus, began her long difficult journey with this terrible disease. Mary never complained about all the medical conditions she suffered and battled through the years. Instead, she always took the time to personally thank each those in the medical industry. Her common line to them was always the same... "Thank you for what you do, I'm so appreciative and grateful to you guys. You're the reason I'm still alive! Thank you!"
On June 11, 1981, Mary married Mark Quigley. They built a log home together near Prescott and lived there until her death. Mary and Mark were never able to have children. This was a very sad situation for Mary and Mark. She loved all children and especially devoted herself to her nieces and nephews. Mary worked as a home loan officer as a career for several banks. She volunteered for many years for Sportsmens Devotional.com and served as their Chief Editor. Mary was always skilled at spelling, grammar, and punctuation. She was also instrumental in beginning two Kindness and Generosity movements in our nation: The Giving Principle.com and the Tip Your Bill.com movement.
Mary was an excellent seamstress even winning a state Home Economics award for sewing with wool plaid. She flew to Texas and got to model her own creation at the National Home Economics convention at the young age of 18. She loved blessing people with her creations. She loved to take recipes and work with them until they were improved to perfection or made healthy. She was an excellent baker making delicious cupcakes and beautiful wedding cakes. She passed her knowledge on to those who wanted to learn. Mary always had a smile and time for everyone. She had a generous heart.
Mary loved living an adventurous life. She loved seeing new places, exploring the sights, and meeting new people wherever she went. She rafted the Grand Canyon, explored the western USA by motorcycle, fly-fished and explored Alaska, hiked Montana, camped, and fly-fished all over the west with her husband, Mark, and many other outdoor pursuits. She helped her husband with their family photography business, traveling around the nation to photography jobs.
Mary loved the following things. Jesus, all her family, over easy eggs, exploring the Bradshaw Mountains by ATV and her horses, fly fishing with her husband, deer meat, laughing, Christmas, church, her many dogs over the years, politics, white roses, gardening, and wild and scenic Montana.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider blessing someone in need instead or to do a Tip Your Bill.com in her name.
Her celebration of life service will be Thursday, November 10th at the
