Mary Elizabeth Rawls

Mary Elizabeth Rawls, age 69, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at her residence in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on August 14, 1950 to the late Joseph and Lois Ethel (King) Warren in Fort Defiance, Arizona. She attended Ganado Mission High School graduating class of 1968; then furthered her education at Arizona State University. On July 17, 1971, she married Glover Rawls Jr. in Phoenix, Arizona. Mary worked as an Attendance Clerk at North Canyon High School until her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed attending sporting events and mostly loved spending time with her grandkids. Mary is survived by her loving spouse of 48 years, Glover; three children, Brandon and Aaron Rawls, and Brianne (Ramayo) McGriff; six sisters, Josephine Nahlee, Margaret Etsitty, Carrie Silva, Virginia Allison, Dorothy Peshlakai, and Cecilia Montoya; six grandchildren, Marquez, Michael, Tre, Koa, Blake, and Bryson; and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Ray; and her nephew, Robert Ray. Restricted Occupancy Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022 followed by a committal service at 1:00 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park Cemetery, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
