She was born on May 27, 1936 in Ada, Oklahoma. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Sandy and grandchildren Robert and Susan. She was predeceased by her parents and her son. Maxine was employed by Gateway Community College.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 5-7:00pm at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W Beardsley Rd. Phoenix. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 11:00am at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. 1500 W Maryland Ave, Phoenix, Arizona, with burial at 2:00pm at Phoenix Memorial Park.
