Maxine Indiana Williams was born on November 3, 1919 and went to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on December 5, 2010 after enduring a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Maxine would want everyone to remember her only with the beautiful smile, loving and caring attitude that Christ used often, in her, to lead many people to know Him as their savior. Maxine loved serving the Lord by serving others. Then, in later years, she really enjoyed playing music on her Omnichord to help lead in praise. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Williams Sr., late husband, Ray Pointer and son, James Edward Williams Jr. She is survived by her children, JoAnn (Curtis) Lee and Murle (Bettye) Williams, daughter-in-law, Gayle Williams, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and an infinite number of people who loved and will deeply miss her. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. with Funeral Services at 1:00 P.M. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85009. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. www.greenwoodmemorylawn.com
