

March 12, at 1AM, heaven gained a special angel. Michael Joseph Andrews, formerly of Chicago, gained his wings after a long struggle with PSP, a type of Parkinson's disease. His sister, Kathy, along with the amazing people at Abundant Life care home, Delia, Lawrence and Andrea, were with him until he took his last breath.
He was well known for vibrant blue eye, caring and loving of his family and friends.
Michael, or Uncle Monkey as Dana called him, had a special bond with her and he was her Godfather.
He was a controller and consultant for many well known Chicago and Las Vegas restaurants. He also consulted with the mayor of Chicago on the first Taste of Chicago. He was known for his integrity and expertise in all his business dealings. Most knew him for his awesome cooking and baking skills
He is preceded in death by his father Robert, mother Marie, brother Tom and life partner Bill.
He is survived by his Sister Kathy(Yves) and brother Tim(Barb) as well as 7 nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by those he loved, leaving a hole in the hearts of those who loved him.
Funeral mass will be at a later date at St. Rose in Anthem, AZ. His resting place will be at the Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary next to his mother, Marie.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Aid of Adoption of Special kids (AASK) or AZ Mastiff rescue in his name.
