Mike was my best friend and brother.  We worked together for years and were the best team of carpenters around.  He always made me laugh with the crazy stuff he said. I will always remember him and it will never be the same on a roof without him.  Rest in Peace my brother, I will always love you and never forget you.

This world has lost such a loving, caring, hard working man that always put everyone else that he loved before himself. But heaven has gained another angel!!! You were a man that I can say was lucky enough to meet and I'll never forget you! Your huge smile and silly laugh...you had a gift that could cure anyone's troubles just by walking into a room and turning everyone's sadness into joy, I don't know how you did it but it never failed. I'll see you soon brother! I know your looking after your family and friends just as you did while you were here. I have so many great memories of Mike.... Him and Bridge were married at my parents house and he was smiling from ear to ear that day... Then again he always was. Mike had an infectious laugh and you couldn't help but to be happy around him. He was so generous and always wanted to help and for everyone to be happy. I'll never forget the great times we all had together, the house boat in Powell, countless BBQ's, lake trips and parties (his  St. Paulie girl costume at my parents Halloween party!) Priceless, just like him. It's very sad and I'm very sorry for the all the Phelan's.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Phelan family. Michael was a guy who would do anything for a friend. A Man's Man. I put a dent in his new truck he told me “Don't worry about it gives the truck character.” I will always  remember his huge smile and his wonderful laugh. RIP My Friend... Next time we meet I will beat you in ping pong.

Mikey, you were the best brother in the entire world. Always smiling with that toothless smile. I will miss your laugh the most and sense of humor. You could never be replaced. Thank you for loving my kids as if they were your own. I will miss you everyday and every second on earth until we meet again. You will never be forgotten because I will keep your memory alive. I will always remember Mike's smile and his great sense of humour the most. For some reason one story always pops into my head. The time he cut out Bridgete's face and glued it to the lucky charms leprechaun's body.  It was one of the funniest stories of all time. The world lost a great man the day he passed. You will never be forgotten RIP Mikey.

Mike its your little brother sean, no one understands the pain that flows through my heart that your not here anymore, we were so close. We lived together on those yellow bunk beds in the same room for 17 years. I will miss our conversations cause we made each other laugh so hard. That trip to Virginia, when we were just little guys. And on the plane every time you went to the bathroom, I would change your radio station to the mexican channel, we laughed so hard. Mike I loved you so much. The day that Mike met my sister my whole family received a gift. A son in law that made my parents so very proud, a brother that made me feel always protected, and the coolest uncle a kid could ever have.  Literally EVERY single time I think of you Mike the image in my head is sparkly eyes and a genuine smile, laughing that often and awesome laugh.   I will always remember you and always know how blessed I am to be your family and your friend. I love you Mike.

My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the phelan family. I met Mike through Shawn phelan and although we weren't the closest of friends I still consider him as one. I just saw him on the 9th and we very briefly said hello as he was getting ready to go home. I as well will never forget that wonderful smile. So this has definately saddened me and I only pray for you all-family and friends that you get through this tragic time together. He will be deeply missed by so many.

I was so very sad to hear of Mike's passing.  This is just a shame to loose such a wonderful person.  Mike was kind and had a huge heart.  I met him through my son Daniel.  They had worked together for years and Daniel loved Mike like a brother.  I pray for peace and comfort for his family.  I will miss that wonderful smile and those beautiful eyes.  May your heart now be at peace.  My deepest condolences to his family.
