It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, father, papa, and uncle, Michael Anthony Solimeno, of Glendale, Arizona, on May 2, 2022 after a brief illness. Mike was born on February 13, 1956 to Joseph John Solimeno and Donna Kay Solimeno in Phoenix, Arizona. Mike graduated from Apollo High School in 1974 and stayed in contact with many high school friends. Throughout his life he met many friends who he remained close with and would do anything for. He was loved by all who were lucky enough to meet him. He had a larger-than-life personality. Mike was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren and shared their achievements with anyone who knew him. The Solimeno family owned and operated the Disabled American Veterans resale stores in several states. He worked alongside his father and siblings for much of his life. He and daughter Kali also created and marketed a line of finishing sauces, S and E Sauces. Mike could be seen nearly every weekend at the local Farmers market, where he first introduced the sauces and enjoyed socializing with the many people he met. Mike was fun loving and thoroughly enjoyed life. He had many hobbies and passions including playing poker with his friends, watching college football, cooking, reading, entertaining and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and family. Mike is survived by, and will be dearly missed by his parents Joe and Kay Solimeno, his brother Joseph Jr. (Sandy) Solimeno, daughters Cara (Robyn Riley) Solimeno, and Kali (Adam) Marconett, grandchildren Aiden and Kaydence Marconett.
