87 of Phoenix, passed away on February 13, 2013. She was born in Atoka, Oklahoma, on July 20, 1925 to Bill and Ollie Britt (Nowlin). After High School she moved to Phoenix and began working at the telephone company as an operatior in October of 1945 and retired from Mountain Bell in March of 1982 in the position of Toll Investigator. She was married to Ellis Anderson in 1948. Mildred attended the Eastside Church of Christ and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, She is preceded in death by her husband; Ellis Anderson and her sister Mary Lena Hooper. She is survived by her daughters; Elleen Pierce (Jack) of Glendale; Ida Anderson(Richard) of Phoenix; and Arlene Aiton(Jim) of Concho, Arizona, her brother; Vernon Britt of Atoka, Oklahoma, 2 grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Service will be held Wednesday February 20, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave. A visitation will begin at 10, with the funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Mildred's name to Alzheimers Research.
