

Nancy Hope Fabro, 87, passed away on December 17, 2016, in the comfort of her home in Glendale, Arizona. She joins her husband Jimmie Bernard Fabro, her parents Herbert Miles and Charlotte Elizabeth See, and many other friends and family members in eternal rest. Born Nancy Hope Miles in Brooklyn, New York on April 1, 1929, Nancy was the favorite “April Fool” to everyone she met. Nancy lived in Brooklyn until age 12. In 1942, her family moved her to Tucson for health reasons. She traveled to Tucson on a train filled with soldiers heading to the Pacific Theater of WWII. In Tucson, she graduated from Mansfeld Junior High and Tucson High School. She started her family in Tucson, and moved to Phoenix in 1954. She lived in the Valley the remainder of her life. She retired from Honeywell (formerly General Electric). Nancy was an avid bowler, and a long-time member of the Arizona Bowlerettes. She also loved her dog Prescott, bunko, traveling, parades, theatre, knitting, mariachis, and margaritas. Most of all, she loved being a mother and a grandmother. Nancy is survived by her sister Betty Green, daughter Nancy Woodsum (Ralph), son Samuel “Buck” Prosser, son John Prosser (Janet), and daughter Carolyn Fink. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Dean Fink, Anthony Fink, Tawni Crider (David), Andrea Staten (Mike), Sommer Prosser, Daniel Prosser (Sharon), Cheryl Thompson (Mike), and Shane Prosser (Ali). Nancy also had ten great-grandchildren: Leanna Fink, Carlee Fink, Skyler Sparks, Ethan Morandi, Mikaela Staten, Aden Morandi, Reece Fink, Zoe Prosser, Miles Crider, and Zia Prosser. A memorial service will be held January 7, 2017, at 10:30am at her beloved Freeway Baptist Church, located at 8501 N. Black Canyon Hwy. in Phoenix. A lunch reception will follow in the church’s fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 or www.hov.org.
