Nedra F. Jones

98, of Phoenix, AZ left this world to join her savior on July 20, 2014 following a short illness. Nedra was born in Bunnell, FL on December 8, 1915. She later moved to Des Moines, IA with her parents Charles and Dollie House where she finished school, married and started a family. She and her family moved to Arizona in 1943 where she later worked for the Industrial Commission of Arizona and the Arizona Legislative Council during the legislative session. During that time she was assigned to write and edit legislation for state legislators. Nedra married J. Delbert Jones in 1950 and had 25 wonderful years together. Nedra was preceded in death by her parents; husband J. Delbert Jones and granddaughter Sindy. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law (Chuck and Judy Kime), a daughter and son-in-law (Karolyn and Jim Jackson), daughter and son-in-law (Connie and Tom Sodaro), 9 grandchildren, Scott, Sheryl, Stephanie, Bob, Dan, John, Amie, Abbie and April, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Nedra was blessed with a wonderful, fulfilling life and was dearly loved by her family, friends and members of her church, Morningside Presbyterian. She in turn blessed her family and friends with her love and enthusiasm for life. She will be sorely missed.
