

Paul Leonard Corona, aged 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Phoenix, AZ on August 10, 2024. He was born in Topeka, KS on May 14, 1941, the son of Atanacio and Josefina Corona.
He attended and graduated from Hayden High School in 1959. He later joined the Navy in 1963 to 1967, as a radar repair man on the USS Shangri La Aircraft Carrier where he traveled all throughout the world during his service. He was part of the Fighter Squadron Thirteen stationed at Cecil Field in Florida. He married the love of his life Lois “Eve” Norsworthy in 1979 in Santa Clara, CA., and together they raised their children Misty Corona and Michael Corona. In 1981 he was transferred to Phoenix, AZ where he later retired.
Survived by his wife Eve Corona, daughter Misty Rowe, son-in-law Tom Rowe, grandchildren Michelle Marshall (sp. Sean Marshall), Michael Rowe (sp. Sierra Rowe), Amanda Hernandez (sp. Miguel Hernandez), and great grandchildren, Malia Rowe, Sadie Rowe, Elliott Marshall, and Nolan Paul Hernandez. Siblings Anna Marie Corona, Ruben Corona (Sylvia), David Corona (Lester Lawler), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son and 2 sisters.
Graveside Service will be held on August 30, 2024, 9:00AM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 East Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
