Paul M Webb Jr. died on January 17, 2016, at the age of 90. Born on July 7, 1925, he was a WWII vet, and enlisted at the age of 17. He was a tail gunner on a B-17, and on his first and only mission, his plane was shot down. He and the co-pilot were the only ones that survived from a 15 man crew. He spent the short remainder of his service as a prisoner of war held by the Germans. He went to college courtesy of his service and graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson. He made a career as a biologist, working for the Arizona Game and Fish Department and he retired at the age of 62. He was married twice and was a widower twice. His first wife was Pauline Webb and they had three children, Gary, Sharon (deceased) and Carol, and they were married for 47 years. His second wife was Bo Jantzen and they were married for 8 years. He was an outdoorsman who was soft-spoken, kind, truly cared about others, and found joy in life even in the little things that come our way. He was a great dad and best of all he had a great sense of humor that was on the very dry side.
