Pete E. Florez, born in Blake Arizona, died October 11 at his home surrounded by family. He was born June 4, 1922 and lived in Arizona until his passing. He was 94. Pete served in the U.S. Army in World War II, was wounded and received medals for his actions. He is survived by his loving wife Rose Mary Florez, his sons Frank Florez and Joe Florez, his daughters Mary Florez Bejarano and husband Gilbert Bejarano, Anna Maria Florez and Fred Vela, his stepdaughter Karen Motter and husband Neil Motter. He has 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all.
Viewing will be held at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W Bethany Home, Friday October 14th from 5:00 – 9:00. Rosary will be said at 7:30. The funeral will be held at St Louis the King Catholic Church, 4331 W Maryland, Glendale at 10:00 am on October 15th. Services at Saint Francis Cemetery immediately following located at 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix.
