Phillip A. Lawry, 60, passed away suddenly on December 1, 2012, in Arizona, where he resided for the past year. Phil was very happy to be back in the desert riding his new motorcycle. He had lived in Everglades City, Florida for many years, where he was predeceased by Carol Moseman, his wife of 25 years and the love of his life. He is survived by his brother Charles Lawry (Bedford, MA), and his sisters Cynthia Lawry (Salt Lake City, UT) and Susan Challis (Walpole, MA), his nieces Deborah Evans (Rochester, NY), Claudia Lawry (Bedford, MA), Mary Challis (Walpole, MA) and nephews Christopher Lawry (Bedford, MA), Benjamin Challis (Walpole, MA), David Evans (Oswego, NY), and Daniel Evans (Rochester, NY).
Phil had an affinity for engines and was a qualified aircraft mechanic. He always felt challenged to fix anything mechanical put before him. He was also an accomplished angler (although he was allergic to fish!). Phil had a quirky sense of humor, was witty and well-read, and enjoyed surfing the net for snippets of esoteric information.
Memorial services will be held at a later date and information will be posted when the arrangements have been made. In lieu of flowers please send donations to:
