Rachael Earline Ostrander Waller, 90, loving and supportive wife of Bruce, departed this world July 21, 2012. Rachael lived an inspirational and full life setting a perfect example for all with her goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, devotion, honesty, blamelessness, caring and long-suffering nature, unconditional love, forgiveness, the list goes on. Above all, she loved God, her family, and friends. A glorious homemaker, she provided a wonderful, warm, happy, and spotless home full of endless and unforgettable Holiday and family gatherings. She was an elegant, impeccably dressed, stylish woman, and no outfit was complete without her pearls. She was gifted with an incredible soprano voice and sang in the Choir with the ‘Daughters of the Nile’ and at home, most memorably, on Saturday mornings. She was also a long-standing member of the ‘Eastern Star’. Rachael loved life and all that it had to offer including flowers, hummingbirds, reading Danielle Steel novels, yearly week-long vacations on Lake Powell, fishing, playing ‘31’, gardening, bowling, family time, and especially being a grandma. She is survived by her 3 children, David, Charles, and Cynthia; son-in-law, Bob; daughters-in-law, Nola and Debbie; sisters, Mary and Margie; brother, Ronald; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and multiples of friends who consider her their family. A deeply spiritual woman, she loved to sing and laugh and always had time to listen with a heart so full of kindness that it is her legacy to her family and friends. Happiness is knowing she is with the Lord, and dancing in Bruce’s warm and loving embrace. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Celebration of Life will start promptly at 2 pm on Sunday, July 29th, 2012 at the Sheraton Crescent Hotel, Crestview Room, 2620 W. Dunlap Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona.
