

Richard Eugene Jones went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 15, 2021. He was born in Durand, Michigan on October 16, 1941. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jones, Peoria, AZ; brother Jerry Jones, Owosso, Michigan. Four daughters, Traci (Ray) Langley, Redfield, AR; Kim (Nick) Langley, Phoenix AZ; Nick Langley passed away suddenly on October 25, 2021. Donna (Richard) Brannen, Phoenix, AZ; Kelli (Brian) Fritzler, Avondale, AZ. Grandchildren Lawrence Taylor, Josh (Jess) Bailey, Michelle (Anthony) Fitch, John Matthew (Maya) Anderson, Shaye Langley, Dani Anderson, Will Fritzler. Step grandson Jessy Brannen. Great grandchildren Sarah, Zoe, Cash, Jax, Elizabeth. He is preceded in death by grandson, Richard Scott Bailey.
Richard (Dick) grew up in Vernon, Michigan and hung out with two buddies also named Dick. They had a reputation as pranksters and often got in trouble. He loved fishing and hunting and would fish whenever he was in Newberry, Michigan. He loved old westerns and Bowery Boys movies.
Dick enlisted in the US Army in 1960. He met Margi on leave in Owosso, Michigan and they eloped two weeks later. Dick, Margaret, and their daughters moved to Arizona from Michigan in 1973 in a station wagon. Traveling cross country and visiting sites such as the Bad Lands, Mount Rushmore, and Disneyland. They loved Phoenix and decided to make it their home. Even though it was hot in the summer, they were known at the car dealership as purchasing vehicles without air conditioning! The family went to South Mountain often and spent time playing cards with his Mom and Step Dad, Ruth and Russell Lehman. Dick continued to serve in the military in the Army 996 Medical Company in Phoenix. He was an Army Medic and Emergency Room Technician for many years. He obtained his License Practical Nurse degree and worked as a Practical Nurse while in the military. Dick and Margi traveled to Newberry, Michigan each summer for many years.
Dick loved going to yard sales and thrift stores. In recent years, every Monday was Savers day! He looked forward to going and went each Monday up to the last few weeks of his life.
He loved life, His country, and his Lord Jesus Christ. He will be missed on earth but we will reunite with him in heaven.
