

Robert Darrell Duell (Bob), was born July 16, 1942 in Goodland, Kansas to Elmer and Freda (Purvis) Duell. He passed into the arms of his Saviour on July 11, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 82.
He joined the U.S. Navy out of high school, where he served honorably from 1960-1964. While at Aviation Electronics School in Millington, Tennessee, he met Amy Blalock. They married December 23, 1961. Together, they raised 5 children, and had the joy being part of the lives of 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Bob worked in the electronics industry his entire career. He also maintained his love of aviation as a private pilot.
Before moving to Phoenix, he was a member of Foxworthy Baptist Church in San Jose, California. In Phoenix, he joined Westtown Baptist Church where he taught adult Sunday School. He was an ordained Southern Baptist minister, and served as chaplain for the Campbell, California Police Department.
He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer, mother, Freda, brother, Bruce, and daughter in law, Dana.
He is survived by his wife, Amy, brother, Myron (Mitra), sons, Michael (Carol), David (Melissa), Steven (Hollie), Samuel, and daughter, Dianne (David), as well as his grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers in law, nephews and nieces and cousins
A memorial service will be held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, located at 2350 East Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022, on July 30, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A graveside service will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, located at 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024, on July 30, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
