

Robert Russell Otto was born April 27, 1923, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He passed away March 28, 2012. Bob graduated from South Hills High School and then joined the Army and served in Europe during World War II. Upon returning from the war, he began a 45-year career with Westinghouse Corporation as a senior draftsman. Bob married Marion Lois Brust September 13, 1952. They lived, worked and raised their family in Pittsburgh (Whitehall Borough). Bob and Marion retired in 1987 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Bob, never one to sit idle, began woodworking and created wonderful one- of-a-kind furniture pieces that embody his precise, meticulous, and careful ways. Bob loved airplanes of all kinds, made models, and read every book that had anything to do with aircraft and flight. He will forever be missed by his family, including his beloved wife Marion, Chandler, Arizona, daughter Elizabeth (Kevin) McHugh, Tempe, Arizona, son James Otto (Annette Carr), St. Louis, Missouri, and son David (Charlotte) Otto, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Bob was blessed with five grandchildren, Patrick and Cora McHugh, and Andrew, William, and Katherine Otto, who made him smile every day.
