I'm Linda Tittle, Robert Roy Tittle's wife. This is my favorite picture of Robert. I met Robert on December 4, 1983, I was a waitress and he was working at a temporary service and we fell in love at first sight. Robert moved in with me and my mom. Robert really loved my mom. We did everything together; we went mountain climbing, on car trips, and had coffee at the Waffle House. Robert loved to play pool. We went to parks often. We loved watching Mash. Robert loved Western movies and he often watched the news. Robert listened to Western and Rock-n-roll music. Bob took great care of me. He would always have me call him when I went somewhere without him, so he would know that I was safe. Bob (as he liked to be called) and I got married on June 11, 1997. Bob wanted to have my mother know I was going to be taken care of the rest of my life. my mom died July 13, 1999, knowing I was going to be well taken care of. Bob was a good husband and took good care of me until he passed away. Bob was a smoker and had COPD. They wanted him to quit, but he couldn't . He had been a smoker since he was 13 years old. Robert took medicine for his COPD. He had brain abscesses and abdominal aneurysm but he got the operation to take care of this. Robert was a security guard and he was a good security guard. He loved his job and worked as a guard for 13 years. He had to quit work because he got so sick. He went on social security (SSI). Then March 20, 2016 we were watching Meet the Press and Chris Wallace, Robert wasn't feeling well and he was on the couch. I was on my loveseat and he fell off the couch. So I called 911 and they came in a few minutes, because we lived near a firehouse. They took him to a heart hospital (24th St. and Thomas Rd.). They put him on a machine that kept him alive, they called me and said he wouldn't make it. So I went to the hospital and told them not to let him suffer anymore and to go ahead and let him go. So on March 21, 2016 he passed away. His funeral was April 13, 2016 and I miss him very much because I loved him more than anything. I cry a lot. We were best friends.
