Roger, 62, affectionately known as the Pied Piper for his musical prowess on the flute, as well as keyboards, left this World's stage on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. He was born on March 7, 1964 in Keokuk, Iowa, but Roger spent most of his inquisitive youth in Topeka, Kansas.
After attending Washburn Rural High School, Roger focused on a career in computers. His brilliant mind and dedicated work rose him to the highest ranks in cyber security. His outlets for joy were music, martial arts (double Black Belt), sports (Nascar, Chiefs, and Jayhawks), and time with Ellen, his wife of 20 years.
The departed is - Preceded in death by: Mother - Lavonne Marie Spry. Survived by: Father - Robert Wayne Linnenburger; Wife - Ellen Shumway Linnenburger; Half-Brother - Don Fillman and his wife - Mary. Their children - Kelsey and her husband Scott, Allison, and Scott.
A Dedication Service will be on April 3, 2026 at 11am at Greenwood/Memory Lawn Mausoleum at 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. Roger was called Home much too soon... he will be loved and missed always.
