

Roy J. Hancock, age 78, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014. He was born in Mesa, Arizona to Roy and Daisy Hancock. Roy graduated from Mesa High School and attended Phoenix College for Mechanical Drafting/Engineering and Architecture. He and Adrienne Diana Angle were married on June 11, 1955. Roy started his career in the early years in Ranching, Farming and the Dairy Business in the Phoenix Area and Northern Arizona. He then went on to design and build animal containment facilities across the United States. He was also a Fireman "Engineer" for the City of Phoenix Fire Department. In the 1990's, he incorporated Skyce Steel, Inc., fabricating and erecting steel for commercial and industrial buildings as well as designing jigs and fixtures for the manufactured housing industry. At the time of passing, Roy was actively working as the CEO of Skyce Steel, Inc. His affiliations include being a 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner and KGCstV. His passions were his family, sailing on his yacht, Apego, world-wide travel and History. He loved inventing and had numerous patents on his work. Roy is surveved by his beloved Wife of 59 years, Adrienne, Two Daughters: Ms. Deborah J. Jacobs, Mrs. Deanna H. Allen; Three Grandchildren: Mr. Daniel W. Allen, Dr. D. Michelle Eve, Mrs. Jamie Gearon. Six Great-Grandchildren: Emily Gearon, Jett Franklin, Thomas Allen, Zane Eve, William Allen and Violet Eve. Two Brothers: A. Vern Hancock and William A. Hancock, both of Gilbert, AZ. Two Sisters: Frances Hunt and Sue Huckbay, both out of state. "Dieu et mon droit"
