Ruth Ann Gleason

Ruth Ann Gleason, 79, passed away on March 23, 2026. Born on November 8, 1946, in Alton, Illinois, she lived with steady faith and quiet strength, and will be remembered as a beloved and cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her. Ruth Ann resided in Phoenix, Arizona.

Ruth Ann graduated from Greenfield Illinois High School in 1964 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Ouachita Baptist University in Arcadelphia, Arkansas, in 1968. Her life reflected wisdom shaped by learning, perseverance, and a compassionate attention to others.

Over the years, Ruth Ann worked as a secretary, a bank teller, and in various businesses, later working at home from 1992 to 2020. In each season, she carried herself with resilience and devotion, offering the kind of steady reliability that family, friends, and colleagues come to depend on and deeply value.

On June 15, 1968, Ruth Ann married Dennis Gleason. Their life together stood as a testament to enduring commitment and faithful love.

Ruth Ann’s favorite organization was her work as a mentor through Grow With Me, a Christian women’s mentoring ministry. Her compassionate spirit found a natural home in encouraging others, and her devotion to that calling did not waver—she continued mentoring women from her bedside until she passed away in March 2026.

Ruth Ann was survived by her husband Dennis and her son, Timothy Gleason; her grandchildren Danielle and William Gleason (Drew), and Riley, Mackenzie, and Zoey Gleason (Tim). Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her loving son, Drew Gleason.
