Ruth Gennette Randolph was born in Parkin, Arkansas on May 10, 1937 to James and Nellie Utley. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on July 2, 2022. She finally realized her constant prayer of seeing Jesus, and also seeing her husband, James Randolph, who had proceeded her nine years prior. They were married for 60 years and not a day went by for the past nine years without her missing him terribly and her wishing she could be with him.
Ruth was a faithful Child of God who loved Jesus with all of her heart. She was constantly sharing the Good News of the abundant life we each can have with Jesus. She had a passion to make sure everyone she came into contact with knew how to receive eternal life in Jesus. Only time will tell of the number of people who will spend eternity in Heaven because of her testimony.
James and Ruth were married on January 11, 1953. Her life up until then was spent living at home and working on farms in and around Parkin, Arkansas. James was an airman in the United States Air Force. She accompanied him to five different Air Force bases supporting him and his career.
She was a fun loving individual who always was up for something fun to do. When James was stationed in Madrid, Spain, she became an avid square dancer, even sewing her own square dancing outfits. James and Ruth were elected as leaders of the Madrid Square Dance Club, and they traveled throughout Spain participating in many Square Dance Jamborees.
Ruth was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, confidant, encourager and trusted friend. Her sons Randy, David, Dan, and her daughters-in-law Bev and Barbara loved her dearly. They trusted her as a safe place where they could be real and know she would always unconditionally love them. It didn't matter how busy her life was, she would make them a priority and be there for them.
She was a strong woman who was never afraid to tell you what she thought, and who wouldn't back down when she believed she was right. She was a devoted and faithful to those who were blessed and fortunate enough to be called her friend.
Those who will long cherish the memories of Ruth being a part their lives are her sons Randy Randolph, Dan and his wife Bev Randolph, David's wife Barbara Randolph, her brother Vernon Utley, her sister Betty Smith, the members of her small group, her North Valley Assembly of God Church family, her extended family, and those whose lives were touched and impacted by her friendship with them.
Ruth is proceeded by her husband, son, parents, four brothers, three sisters, a great-granddaughter, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends whom she loved like they were her family.
