Ruth "Ruthie" Evangeline Spangler

December 29, 1943 – September 3, 2025

Ruth Evangeline “Ruthie” Spangler, 81, of Anthem, Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona.

Born on December 29, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ruthie lived a vibrant and full life. She earned her B.A. in Physical Education from Bowling Green University, briefly taught elementary school, and then began raising her family. Many years later she began a successful journey in real estate and property management. Her career reflected her drive, independence, and natural ability to connect with others.

Ruthie was known for her beauty, strength, and spirited independence. She loved golf, pickleball, and bridge, and she found joy in Hallmark movies, a good glass of wine, and the company of her cherished friends and family. She lived actively and gracefully, always radiating warmth and joy to those around her.

Her deep faith guided her throughout her life. She loved the Lord, her family, and the many people she welcomed into her circle of friendship.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas “Tom” Spangler; her parents, Edward and Dorothy Brewer; her brother, Edward “Bud” Brewer (Gay); and her sweet dog, Boomer.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Debbie Webb and Lori Shirk (Jim); four grandchildren, Tyler Webb (Jordan), Lindsey Greenwood, Tanner Webb, and MacKenzie Jung; her brothers, David Brewer, Richard Brewer (Ruth), and William “Bill” Brewer (Carol); her beloved dog Irish Rose (Rosie), along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Copper Hills Church, 27035 N Black Rock Blvd, Peoria, AZ 85383.

Ruthie’s legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
