Socorro G Hanse

Socorro G Hanse, age 80 was delivered to our Lord March 7 in her home in Phoenix Arizona. Socorro was born in Monterey Mexico on October 14, 1932. She grew up in Tamaulipas Mexico and met Gary L. (Rex) Hanse, who she married in Hermosillo Mexico on July 21, 1959.

Sockie was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always had food on the stove and who ever happened to drop by was not allowed to leave without eating. Seems everyone always showed up hungry. She was beautiful, thoughtful, caring, generous, giving and the most loving individual on this planet.

She is survived by her six children, Rick Hanse, Cindy L Ulrich Hanse, Ron G Hanse, Roy Alvaro Hanse, Cathy L Traverse Hanse and Robert G Hanse. Socorro was one of 8 brothers and sisters, Victor, Daniel, Fernando, Elvira, Alvaro, Dolores and Ricardo (deceased). She was a grandmother of 20 grandchildren; Richard, Daniel, Jennifer (deceased 2006), Jeffery, Jessica, Jodi, Christopher, Candice, Conrad, Courtney, Caitlynn, Cameron, Cory, Elizabeth, Erika, Jacob, Joseph, Michael, Brandon, and Miranda as well as 10 great grandchildren, Justyne, Ryan, Anthony, Nathan, Shealyse, Jason, Landon, Emma, Bryland, Savannah and one on the way. She will also be missed by a multitude of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Tuesday, March 12 at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W Beardsley Rd. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday March 13, at Our Lady of the Valley, 3220 W Greenway Rd., Phoenix. Burial to follow at St Francis Cemetery.
