Stephen St. Angelo, age 84, of Michigan, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 in his Arizona home. He was born on December 23, 1933 to Vincent and Carmen St. Angelo in Senglea, Malta. Steve graduated from the seminary in Malta before his family moved to the United States in 1951. He obtained a GED from Taylor Center High School and then furthered his education at Henry Ford Community College for his apprentice schooling to become a pipe fitter. Steve worked as an Supervisor for General Motors for 37 years; then became an Engineer Consultant. On August 28, 1954 he married Ida Aiello at the Holy Redeemer Church in Detroit Michigan. Steve served in the National Guard and volunteered as a coach for his sons' baseball and soccer teams. He enjoyed carpentry and taking care of every detail around the home; Steve continued to work on his home until his last days. He enjoyed traveling with his Ida through Europe, Hawaii, on cruises, and throughout the United States. His greatest love was Malta, when he was not able to visit his mind and heart were always still there. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ida; seven children; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; six siblings; and many other loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stephen’s honor may be made to our GoFundMe account that will go to the building and erection of a bronze Holy Redeemer statue to be placed near the mausoleum where Stephen will be laid to rest. https://bit.ly/2q5BVeM
