Steven Grant Johnston

Steve was born in Kimberly , Nevada to parents Steven LaRay Johnston of Stockton, California and Rosalie Hicks of Kimberly, Nevada. Steve moved to San Jose, California and attended Lincoln High School and the University of California at Santa Cruz. Steven worked for the Ford Motor Company in Milpitas, California and then became a construction journeyman up until retirement in 1999 He met and married Mary Lou Elizalde in San Jose, California. They were married for 39 years and they retired to Phoenix, Az in 1999 .

Steve was creative and he loved crafting with his wife Mary Lou, loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They would often go on fun filled adventures. He loved fishing and he was one hell of a cook.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Mary Lou Johnston, son Tony Johnston (Debbie), stepson Joseph Elizalde Jr. (Yvonne), stepdaughters Monica Vega (David), Lisa A Canez (Mike III) - grandchildren Andrea Johnston (3 children), Anthony Johnston (2 children), Mike Canez IV (Stephanie), Jennifer Vega-Bubel (Matt), Kristen Vega, Vanessa Canez (Sammy Gonzales), Megan Vega Abeyta (David), Marc Canez, Oscar Jimenez, Angel Brown, Niya Elizalde,Dylan Riordan, Angel Espinosa, Sabrina Avila,Jasmin Reyes

Great grandchildren- Gabriel Canez, Lorenzo Canez, Mathew Gonzales, Audriana Abeyta, Ava Abeyta, Izaiah Abeyta, Diego Bubel, Orlando Canez Amina Canez, Ara Canez, Ares Canez, Marc Canez Jr, Dominque Canez, Oscar Jimenez Jr, Roman Jimenez, Aiden Jimenez.
