Mrs. Susan Louise Vaughn

Sue Vaughn passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. She was born in 1934 to Jesse and Loreta West in Los Angeles and was the youngest of 5 children. She had resided in Arizona since 1957. Sue is survived by he husband of 57 years, Jerry Vaughn and their three daughters Pam, Terry and Val and their families. She was grandma to six and had one great-grandson. She is also survived by two of her brothers. She served on the Tempe Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and with the Tempe Republican Women's Organization. She volunteered her time and talents with the Goodwill Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels and Questers. Sue was an accomplished tennis player and an avid bridge player, playing with one group for over 50 years. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 am on Monday, April 12 at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Road in Tempe. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street in Phoenix, AZ 85014.
