Terry Rusty Allen West

Terry was born in Tolleson on April 7, 1942 to Perry and Vera West, and although he did spend time living in other places, he spent the last 18 years of his life back in his home town where he raised his three youngest children. He went to Tolleson Union High School as did his three youngest and all of them proudly wore (his youngest still wearing) the Wolverine’s football uniform.

He is survived by his wife Diana M. West, his children; Jared West, Grant West, Steven Micham, Kimberly (West) Chapin, Paul West and Scott West, his sisters Diana Newman and Phyllis Draughon, ten grandchildren and ten nieces and nephews.

Terry is preceded in death by his son Garret Micham West, his father Perry West Jr., his mother Vera L. West, and brother Lt. Col. Winfred (Bruce) West.

Terry is a Vietnam Vet and served six years in the United States Air Force. He was an air traffic controller in his earlier years and spent the last 25 years in security in different management positions. He loved playing his guitars and spending time with his family. Services for Terry will be December 6, 2013 at National Memorial Cemetery of AZ at 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. at 2:30 p.m. The family is planning a picnic to celebrate his life on December 7th, at White Tanks Regional Park 20304 W. White Tank Mountain Rd. at Ramada’s 4A and 4B from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
