Tom was born on Apr. 30, 1919 in Providence, RI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Molly (Lonergan) Higgins and his brother, Robert. He was a Navy CPO during WWII, a graduate of Brown University, a mechanical engineer, owner of T.J. Higgins Insurance Agency and, most importantly, loving husband of 59 years of Mary Cassidy Higgins.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Eileen Johnson, Brian, Kathleen Sylvia (David), Kevin (Flora), Michael and James (Kerstin). He is also survived by his grandchildren Keith and Megan Johnson, Ian Fairweather, Thomas (Erika), Daniel and Patrick Sylvia, Alexandra and Genevieve Higgins.
A Requiem Mass will be held Thursday, Apr. 11, 2013 at 4:00PM in Brophy Chapel 4701 N. Central Ave., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Francis Xavier Elementary School 4715 N. Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85012.
