With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Traude Maria Hurd of Phoenix, Arizona. She passed away on August 20, 2024, at the age of 82 years. Traude was born on September 29, 1941, in Muensingen, Germany, the daughter of Richard and Rosa (Grundler) Muenz.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Hurd, her brother Dieter Altdoerfer, and two sisters Astrid Hoffmann and Edith Foley.
Traude is survived by her children Raymond (Olivia) Smith, Heidi (Mark) Gebbie, and stepdaughters Victoria Ann Hurd (Taylor) Martin and Sarietta Hurd (Brandon) Haas. Five grandchildren April (Derin) Patterson, Ashley Faust, and Matthew (Ashley) Smith, Samuel Gebbie, and Dean Gebbie. Seven great-grandchildren, Audrey, Kendall, Brody, Adaline, Mason, Kadyn, Jennings.
The Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:30 AM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85024.
