Viola Marie Kelly

Viola Marie Kelly, formerly Viola Marie Petersen, passed away in Peoria, AZ on March 26th, 2012, at the age of 103. She was born Feb. 14, 1909 in Manilla, Iowa, and moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. ans Petersen, to a farm in Dunnell, MN. She attended rural schools, and graduated from Sherburn High School in 1924. She was employed at the Fairmont Hotel in Fairmont, MN for 10 years and married Glenn Kelly on feb. 15, 1936. glenn passed away in 1967. Viola ran Kelly's Auto Service and sold it in 1972. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and Charity Club. She also volunteered at the Fairmont Community Hospital and Truman Retirement Home. Viola loved her family and lived out her Christian faith for all to see. She lived in Fairmont, MN until October 2007 when she moved to Scottsdale, AZ to live with her daughter Kathleen and son-in-law Larry Feigal. Viola moved to Emeritus Assisted Living Facility in Peoria, AZ in 2008. Survivors include Larry and Kathleen Feigal, 3 grandchildren; Tricia of Prescott, AZ, Cary of Glendale, AZ, & Andrew of Youngtown, AZ. 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn, and her nine brothers and sisters.

Viola will be buried next to her husband at Lakeside Cemetery of Fairmont, MN.
