

Virginia Coates Pullins, born in St. George, Utah, on August 11, 1911, passed away July 1, 2010, in Glendale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her brothers Andrew, Ward and Bruce, husband, Dean Pullins, daughter, Janice Sims & two grandsons. She is survived by her brother, Robert Coates, sons, Gary (Katherine), Jon (Karen), daughters, Carole Reader (Gordon), Elaine Winsor (Randy) and Gayle Turley (Rick), 20 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Virginia was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life and continued to serve until the time of her illness. She was also a cofounder of the Cactus Wren camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and served in that organization for many years. Her family was the joy of her life and she was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her cooking and sewing, but she also had many other talents which she shared. Her influence will be felt in the lives of her posterity forever and she will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. with Funeral Services at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Glen Lakes Ward building, 8840 North 61st Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85302. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
