Wanda Jones

Dedicated wife, Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother Wanda Edwards Jones, age 84, of Glendale, Arizona passed into Gods hands on September 1, 2014. Wanda was born in Alma, Arkansas on March 20, 1930. She married John Jones Jr. and moved to California where she raised her two daughters. In the 1980’s John and Wanda relocated to Glendale, Arizona for retirement. Wanda is a true inspiration to her family. She was blessed with a strong will wonderful example of strength, love, and had a passion for what she believed in. She was always full of life and energy. Her three granddaughters, Shawn and husband Don, Stacey and husband James and Sindy and fiancé Chris, and eight great grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathan, James, Ashley, Courtney, Michael, Rhiannon, and Daniel carry on her spirit. Wanda has three surviving siblings, Anita, Sally and Carol. When life would become a challenge Wanda always referred to what her father told her, “Young lady pull up those boot strings.” Her family and friends were blessed to have Wanda for 84 years. Wanda is reunited with her husband John and her daughter Rhuelean and her six siblings. Funeral services and burial will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85027.
