Wayne Peters

Wayne Peters, 83, of Peoria, Arizona went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2022. Wayne was born November 30, 1938 in Sulphur, Oklahoma and moved to Arizona when he was 4. He graduated from North High School in 1957, then enlisted in the Navy in 1958 becoming a Seabee. He operated equipment, transported machinery, and dispatched in the construction industry until he retired in 2000.

Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, backpacking, and mining along with anything outdoors. He enjoyed woodworking and restoration projects as well.

Wayne is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Lyn Peters (August 24, 2007) and his parents Jasper and Embree Peters. He is survived by his son, Brennen Peters of Glendale, Arizona, his daughter, Carrie Bass (Bryant), grandchildren, Bronson, Connor and Chanel Bass of Peoria, Arizona. Sisters LaVern Baker of Tempe, Az, Toni Teschler (Don) of Glendale, Az, brother Kelton Peters of Sacramento, Ca and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne was a man who would face almost any challenge and tried to do the best job possible every time. Wayne was a man of GOD, who attended church regularly, loved reading his Bible and supported many ministries. He was a loving husband and father, a trusted friend and neighbor, and will truly be missed by all.
